Parent/Legal Guardian Waiver

 

As the parent or legal guardian of the child named in this player waiver, I hereby give my full consent and approval for my child to participate on a team that is registered in USABL. In executing this waiver I understand and acknowledge that USABL is not responsible for placing individual children on individual teams.   Additionally, in executing this waiver, I understand and acknowledge that USABL makes no representation as to fitness of the managers, coaches, or staff of the individual team on which my child plays while engaged in league or tournament play during the Spring, Summer or Fall baseballs seasons. 

USABL Player Waiver

PARTICIPATION IN THE U.S.A.B.L. INVOLVES RIGOROUS PHYSICAL ACTIVITY, WHICH MAY, EVEN UNDER NORMAL CIRCUMSTANCES, RESULT IN INJURY.  THE PARTICIPANT AGREES TO SAVE AND HOLD HARMLESS THE LEAGUE AND THE OWNER OR LESSOR OF THE FIELD AND ANY AGENT OR REPRESENTATIVE OR EMPLOYEE OF SAME FROM ANY AND ALL LIABILITY FROM INJURIES SUSTAINED BY PARTICIPANT. 

Concussion Protocol:

Any player with a concussion will have a mandatory 5 day wait period before being able to return to USABL along with providing clearance to from their doctor.

USABL League/Tournament Code of Conduct and Sportsmanship

The sole purpose of USABL is to teach, develop and inspire our youth to practice ideals of character, citizenship and community; bringing our youth together through the means of a common interest in sportsmanship, fair play and fellowship; to impart to the game elements of safety, technique and fundamentals, always keeping the welfare of our players first, foremost and entirely free of the adult drive for glory.

In order to keep the program free of the adult drive for glory and other adult conduct which is detrimental to the ideals of youth sports, parents and guardians of baseball players as well as all adults connected with or who participate in the USABL, must adhere to the following standards of conduct:

  • Do not physically or verbally abuse anyone in the program.
  • No physical altercation will be tolerated. Fighting in public is a misdemeanor.
  • No smoking (on the field) during practice or at game time.
  • Show respect for all parents/guardian, opponents, officials and coaches at all times. Do not argue with or criticize the game officials, the opposing team, the opposing coaches or fans, by word of mouth or gesture.
  • Maintain at ALL times a high level of safety awareness.
  • Do not use abusive, profane, vulgar or other offensive language and gestures.
  • No consumption or use of alcoholic beverages is allowed during practice or at game time. Drinking in public is a misdemeanor.
  • Do not incite unsportsmanlike conduct.
  • Do not seek to undermine the authority of the USABL or the umpires
  • Do set an example by your personal conduct at all times.
  • Do remember that winning at all costs is not a message we wish to impart to our youth. Instead, we want them to have fun, play safe competitive baseball and to encourage sportsmanship.
  • Clean up after your team and fans, remove all trash from the stands and dugout. No one should have to clean up after your team.
  • Always abide by a doctor’s decision in all matters of health, injuries and ability to play

USABL shall have the authority to penalize the offender according to the degree of infraction: from warning to a removal from the game and/or league/tournament (a warning is at USABL’s discretion). Any physical contact with an umpire will cause offender to be suspended from the remainder of league/tournament.
